Unitarian Universalist Church of Fresno, 2672 East Alluvail, Clovis
Saturday Mornings: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. PDT, Building 3
Group Leader: Kuzan Peter Schireson
The Zen & Interfaith Meditation Group at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fresno (http://uufresno.org/) was established in early January of 2010 by Kuzan Peter Schireson of the Central Valley Zen Foundation. Meditation is a precious and practical tool for calming the body and mind and for fostering insight and awareness. Whether your interest is relief from the stress of daily life, deepening an ongoing spiritual quest or practice, or you’re simply curious about meditation, please join us Saturday mornings. Most Saturdays are Zen meditation; the last Saturday of each month is Interfaith Meditation, including teachers from other traditions.
Our two-hour session includes two 25 minute periods of sitting meditation, 10 minutes of walking meditation, a talk, discussion, and light refreshments.
Suggested donation $10, but everyone welcome, regardless of ability to donate.
